White Oil Floor Finish

Oil finishes have increased in popularity recently mainly due to a movement towards a low sheen chic and natural matte aesthetic.

There are however a few one coat oil finishes on the market and it is possible to get factory finished natural oil flooring though this is often only available through specialty distributors. Oil finished floors are excellent for bringing out the natural beauty of your selected wood specie. The first coat of oil applied to a wood floor is master oil. Even for those varieties that require only one coat some have to be applied by hand with a rag or something similarly labor intensive.
